About the Speaker: Katie Lord, RN, BSN is a seasoned hospice nurse and educator with a comprehensive background in end-of-life care. Over the course of her nursing career, Katie has served in a wide range of hospice roles—including case management, admissions, on-call response, inpatient care, and leadership—gaining a deep, practical understanding of the care journey from multiple perspectives. In her current role as Education Coordinator for the Illinois Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (ILHPCO), Katie develops and delivers educational programs aimed at strengthening the quality and accessibility of hospice care across the state. Known for her thoughtful approach and ability to connect clinical realities with compassionate best practices, Katie helps healthcare professionals, care providers, and stakeholders navigate the complexities of end-of-life care with clarity and confidence.
