The ALS/MND March of Faces is a visual display of courageous women and men, both past and present, with ALS/MND. Kyle Hahn, a person living with ALS/MND, conceived the banner in July 1997 as an advocacy and awareness tool.
Each year, we display the printed March of Faces banner at our Alliance Meeting. We also transform the banner into a video, which we display year-round on our website, with the permission of those pictured or their families. It is a powerful reminder of our collective vision: a world free of ALS/MND.
We thank all involved for supporting the Alliance and helping us raise awareness of ALS/MND worldwide.
2022 March of Faces
The music in the background is the song “My New Dream” by Roy and Terence Taylor. They launched this song in support of the Irish MND Association in 2020 and it went to #1 on the iTunes chart the weekend it was released. The two Mr. Taylors very graciously gave us the rights to use their song for the March of Faces and we thank them.
Sadly, Roy Taylor passed away on June 1, 2023. A lifelong musician, he had been a contestant in Eurovision with his band “Jump the Gun” in 1988 and lost out to a then little-known Canadian singer Celine Dion. He was diagnosed with ALS/MND in April 2018 and devoted his final years to raising awareness and funds with his son Terence through his music group “Watch Your Back MND.”
